On evaluating thermal performance of water-in-glass evacuated tube solar collector

Abstract:

In this paper we evaluated the thermal efficiency of water-in-glass evacuated tube solar collector (WGETSC) by considering a single water-in-glass evacuated tube (solar tube, in short) and a water tank corresponding to the solar tube.

The overall heat loss coefficient to the outside through the water in the solar tube was the experimental value and in the water tank was the calculation value.

The accuracy of the thermal efficiency of WGETSC was verified by the measurement experiments.
