Abstract:

CdxZn1-xS/CdTe/CdxTe solar cell with auxiliary absorber layer was used as sensors with spectral characteristics required for daylight sensing. A simulation of the structure and spectral characteristics of the sensor was performed using the S.TCAD semiconductor device simulation tool to verify the spectral band broadening and determine the optimum thickness of each layer for sensor fabrication. We have analyzed the current-voltage characteristics, spectral response characteristics of the solar cell for sensors and then examined the solar cells using the electroluminescence detection device. The design of the structure and circuit of the sunshine sensor was carried out, finally the characteristics are verified, compared with the CSD3 sensor.
