Thread tesion and computer embroidery system controlled by PIC18F4550 Microprocessor

Abstract:

The main aim of the present study is to develop a control system of embroidering machine by PIC18F4550. In this paper, the control method to control the yarn tension of the embroidering machine and the embroidery system to convert the conventional power sewing machine into embroidering machine is discussed. First, the embroidery system using PIC18F4550 was constructed to modify the conventional power sewing machine and the device and program were designed. Secondly, various types of crocheting pattern have been designed and implemented in conjunction with a supercomputer to load the embroidering machine. Third, to control the yarn tension of the embroidering machine, the best upper and lower yarn tensions were adjusted by training by ANN. The embroidery system by PIC18F4550 was constructed to modify the conventional power sewing machine and the hardware and software for its implementation were designed.
