Mushroom-producing substrates are mostly corncobs-based, and the waste substrate from mushroom production is a biomass resource that can produce high-quality fuels.
We conducted TG-DTG analysis of corncob and corncob mushroom substrate waste to investigate ignition, final combustion characteristics and overall combustion characteristics, while simultaneously determining combustion kinetic parameters.
The results showed that the ignition temperature of the corncob mushroom substrate waste was 267 °C and the final combustion temperature was 540.6 °C, compared to corncob, the ignition temperature was 3 °C lower, the final combustion temperature was 23.2 °C higher and the combustion index was 3.02552E-09, which was 1.93757 lower than that of corncob.
The study of the kinetic constants using the first-order kinetic model and integral method shows that corncob and corncob mushroom substrate waste have a relatively low activation energy and are advantageous for ignition combustion.
